Team training to stop animal abuse

All my life I've been passionate about animals. I can't think of a better way to honor my love of animals than running with the Peta Pack & raising money & awareness to stop animal abuse. While I enjoy surfing and other athletics, I'm not a runner. This will require training and commitment on my part but I know I can do it with the love & support of my fellow animal lovers. I'm also running in honor of my dear departed diggity Crystal (video tibute posted here), as well as some very special animals I've had the privilege to know over the years - Spider, Spunky, Splinter, Conan, Huck, Sandy, Toby, Redbone, Prince, Spenser, Tracker, Jake, Streak, Rusty, Sam, Be-B, Dixie, Trixie, Clarisse, Churchill, Star, Dickens, Oski, Bubba & Bogus.

Thanks so much for your time & consideration...Jamie

Training Day 1
So the first day of training didn't go exactly how I imagined but served its purpose none the less. It started with a 30 min slowish walk accompanied by three furry friends & one 4 year old daughter. Then we drove out to meet other Peta pack members and did a brisk two mile walk, pushing 4 year old in a stroller, around the newly revamped Echo Park. Later that evening we went for another 40 min slow stroll with the three furs & one child. Not exactly in line with the training program but we managed to get some exercise! Sometimes life can't be planned and you just have to surrender and roll with it.
