Spring 2011 handbag trends

The daytime clutch was seen on almost every runway that featured handbags during new york, paris, london and milan's fashion weeks this last month. The daytime clutch appeared in various forms, soft leather, structured leather or canvas. The majority of daytime clutches on the runway for spring and summer 2011 were soft, squishy leather followed by structured, smooth leather clutches.
The daytime clutch was shown by designers such as louis vuitton, chloe, bottega veneta, fendi and gucci;Just to name a few.Spring 2011's clutches were shown in neutral colors, but the most eye catching clutches were in bright colors or multi colors as seen on louis vuitton's runway and fendi's runway.
The size of the daytime clutch was small or medium. The small runway clutches were large enough to hold a small wallet, keys and lipstick. The medium sized clutches were the size of a medium shoulder bag and could easily fit normal purse essentials as well as a few extra items.
The daytime clutch made an appearance a few years back in fashion, but it was much larger and harder to hold onto while running daily errands. The small daytime clutch is easier to hold and can be easily tucked under the arm.Another positive feature about the daytime clutch for spring 2011 is that it can easily fit into a work tote or airplane carry on;Making it the practical handbag choice for fashionistas on the go.
The small daytime clutch will hit store shelves later this winter when spring starts to trickle onto store shelves.Fashionistas interested in the daytime clutch for spring can start looking for it in resort collections;Which hit store shelves mid october.Might as well be the first one to own a daytime clutch, hot off the runway!Derek lam and celine have bright, daytime clutches that will be on store shelves this month.Riki handbags also has a fabulous daytime clutch with a small strap to allow the clutch to be carried on the forearm when a fashionista needs to free up her hands.

Aiken a hotbed for horse

And canada who live there part time during winter or have settled permanently.Almost a dozen equestrian themed developments can be found in aiken and vicinity.
According to aiken real estate agent mike hosang, in the 1900s, wealthy northerners from states such as new york built summer homes in aiken and brought their horses, establishing the town's equestrian reputation.Buyers arrange for their own architect and home builder;Houses must be 2, 500 square feet or larger.
Hosang says he's had more than half a dozen inquiries from canadians and is planning to market the project north of the border. He says many canadians have bought property in aiken, especially riders who come to train there during winter. But not all those who buy in the horse developments ride.
"In our experience, 30 per cent of buyers are not equestrians, but want the ambience and the elbow room,"Says hosang. "In golf communities, you typically get a lot that's half an acre or less, which isn't a lot of space. "
She says an increasing number of canadians have been buying in the area and there's a wide variety of horse people, from competitive hunter, jumper, eventing and dressage riders to carriage drivers to western reiners.Stoker vaillancourt says the success of equine themed developments has been mixed.
The most coveted properties are those with access to hitchcock woods. She says several developers have tried to emulate this by buying up large tracts of land. Some have sold out, others have undersold.
Vaillancourt says the most successful equestrian communities are those that have been professionally designed for horse people, such as fox hollow and while not yet built, she's also heard positive feedback about brigadoon.

Alaska frets over king salmon decline

In a disastrous follow up to last year's poor run of king salmon in alaska, that state's most famous river for the big fish the kenai has been closed to king fishing due to what officials believe is the poorest run of these fish since the 1980s.
Experts are at a loss to explain what has happened to the disappearing kings, which are in their fourth year of decline. But the effects of their absence are being felt around the state, particularly in native villages along the yukon and other rivers.
"It is pretty scary,"Timothy andrew, director of natural resources with the association of village council presidents in bethel, alaska, told the ap. "Chinook salmon is probably the biggest species that people depend on for drying, salting and putting away in the freezer to feed the family throughout the winter. "
Similarly, the massive kenai river by mid july is usually a veritable carnival of king salmon fishing. The closure's effect on the economy up and down the kenai peninsula will be widespread.
The july run is the summer's second, with the first occurring in june. But that run was also poor.
Fisheries biologists and managers are unsure what's happened to the highly prized fish. But some suspect that changes in the ocean environment, where the fish live for years before returning to their birth rivers, might be responsible.
It's also possible that changing ocean currents play a role.
Alaska's sockeye salmon run, by contrast, appears strong this summer. But guides don't have near the clients for sockeyes they do for kings.
"A lot of people have canceled,"Dave goggia of hooky charters and the president of the kenai river professional guide association, told the alaska daily news.
"The people that got shut down last year, that went no bait, they got a sour taste in their mouth. The people that got shut down in june, they got a sour tasked in their mouth. Now this?Even more people.Word's going to get out soon that, 'hey, you can't count on alaska anymore, ' and it's going to be devastating,"Goggia said.

Shoes and shoes and more shoes

I love christian louboutin shoes although i don own any. They a little pricey for me and, although i love to dress up, i probably wouldn have an occasion to wear them too often. And they are memorable, which means you wouldn want to wear them around the same people at a similar event. (At least i wouldn i pass by his madison avenue store every day on the way to work and my heart beats a little faster when i pass the store window.Every shoe is so beautifully arranged so rich, so elegant.
These are gorgeous ruffled shoes which i did order. But i must caution you they are supposed to be three and half inches high and they measure five inches.I called to complain.Customer service was sympathetic and offered to take them back at no charge i kept them anyway.
Love wedges so easy to walk in and these will blend with so many colors
