Running to Help Stop the Abuse of Animals
Jada Kruck Henry
One of the most heart wrenching things in the world to me has always been the abuse, neglect and mistreatment of the defenseless, such as children and animals. I’m taking part in the PETAPACK 5K to help raise money for a cause very close to my heart; the education and prevention of animal abuse. Since becoming a contributing member of PETA, the videos and pictures I’ve seen, and the stories I’ve read have split me wide open. No living creature should ever have to endure such unimaginable treatment. Rather your lifestyle choices consist of eliminating animal products completely, or only purchasing products that weren't tested on animals and consuming only cage free, farm raised meat and dairy, we can all make a difference by educating ourselves and being aware of the way we incorporate animals into our lives. None of us are perfect, but if we all strive to do what we can, where we can, things will continue to head in the right direction.
My friend Rita and I will be taking part in The 5K-9 Rescue Walk/Run on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Liberty Center, which supports SENA Animal Rescue in purchasing land where no-kill, no-cage rescue centers can be built for animals in need. Please feel free to join us or come out to show your support! During my run for the humane treatment of animals I will be carrying the love and generosity of your donation with me. 100% of your donations will go directly to PETA. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and thank you for being a voice for the voiceless.
