My fellow Go-Go's and I were the first to pose nude for PETA's "Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" campaign back in 1990. We did it because of the immense cruelty the fur industry inflicts upon thousands of animals every year.
While fur is on the decline in the US, the greedy fur industry still trudges on internationally, killing minks, foxes—even cats and dogs—to sell in China and Russia.
Friend—To give PETA the resources it needs to fight the international skins trade, for the next 72 hours, I've decided to up the stakes:
For the chance to win a trip to see the Go-Go's and B-52s in concert in Scottsdale, Arizona, on July 12 (airfare and hotel included), make a donation now or simply fill out this entry form.
With the support of caring people like you, PETA has convinced many of the world's top fashion labels, including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Tommy Hilfiger, to go fur-free, and worked with Tim Gunn to get his company Liz Claiborne to eliminate fur from their dozens of fashion lines. PETA has enlisted Stella McCartney and Martha Stewart to host videos of undercover investigations of cruelty in the international fur and leather trades, and screened them at fashion schools to encourage the next generation of designers to embrace animal-free fabrics. But we need your help to continue and expand this work.
Please, do something amazing for animals today. Donate to PETA now, and stand up against the status quo that puts greed and exploitation ahead of an animal's right to live free from misery.
Don't wait. Entries must be received by July 3 and the winner will be announced on July 4—there's only 72 hours left to enter. Make your gift today or enter the contest without a gift for a chance to fly out to Scottsdale to see the Go-Go's and B-52s in concert.
